Art is actually pretty fun... I've been taking the class for awhile and ironically - some days it takes the most time to do... this picture, though it looks relatively simple, is painstakingly detailed... If you notice, the top left corner is burnished (*pitch black with no sign of white) I wanted to do this for the entire space background but found this impossible with just 1 black color pencil and my limited time... However, I still f*cked up and didn't do as well as I wanted to... but then again, I was limited to color pencils only... pastel would have worked better.... but hence, this was an art assignment with specific instructions...

ssignment... Took 4 hours.. *sigh...

Wow... I'm updating... Let's see... this weekend - once again another waste of two free days in my life but so are most of my weekends. Saturday - went to Huntington Beach for a Annual Beach Cleanup headed by our club: Earth Club - am the treasurer for that so I guess I should show up... lol... Played tennis for about 3 hours later in the evening with Brendan and his friends. I wrote a particularly sincere, unabashed, and revealing e-mail to a somebody who was close to me that has yet to respond... I guess, time, even 1 month can do a lot... Sunday - same and mundane as usual, went to Church, played in a ping pong tournament... looked stone the entire time... o wellz... I wish I had more direction and meaning in my life... I have goals but I dun really give too much of a f*ck about those goals... it's quite sad... I know... Having a comfortable life and continuing it... yes, what a wonderful life purpose... Gaining respect and instilling pride in parents... I guess that's a good goal... Making family happy... yes yes... well, I'm done with my mellow rant... This is Austin - over and out...

Summer vacation is officially over and my school is really getting retarded. We lost 15% of the teaching staff in less than 6 months. That includes the history department chair, the only 2 philosophy teachers, the only IB Bio teacher, and the greatest Calc teacher in the planet... *sigh... why me... I even changed schools from Troy to Fairmont for a better experience... what rotten luck... O wells, gonna have to make due xD....

Spring break is over now... and I didn't do 20% of the stuff I planned on doing during it's onset... yes, i had big plans - I was hoping to do a lot of volunteering for the community but I only managed to contact a few places.... also, I have to finish my stanford summer school application, do my resume for Ms. Gamez, my counselor, and a list of other things... Funny how life doesn't always go the way you plan... hmmm... unless you plan it - that's what he told me. He segments every hour of every day of his life and gets a lot done... I could do that too... but I don't feel like leaving my comfort zone of laziness... I really should try that someday.... anyhow - went Karoake last Friday - that was pretty fun - sang a variety of songs - mostly alternative rock but I busted out some rapping too... lol... Sang "Eyes on Me" by Faye Wong too - that's a good song. Let's go again some other time guys. That's enough rambling for today... back to the drawing board of solving the mystery of life.

Interesting little quiz...
You scored as Divine Command. Your life is directed by Divine Command: Your god and religion give you meaning and direction.

“Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations.”

--King James Version of the Bible

“Even as a tree has a single trunk but many branches and leaves, there is one religion--human religion--but any number of faiths.”

--Mahatma Gandhi
